The new CombiTherm Plus pump provides transfer of hot fluids without the need for additional, external cooling systems. The pump is available in two configurations suitable for the pumping of hot oil or hot water and provides an highly efficient and pumping solution. The air-cooled CombiTherm Plus pump provides transfer of hot oil or hot water in a wide range of applications including

  • injection molding,
  • chemical processing,
  • asphalt / bitumen and tar processing,
  • deep frying systems,
  • steam generators,
  • fuel heaters and
  • heat recovery systems.

KSB: New heat transfer fluid pump in in-line design

131202_Etaline-SYT_01 (2)Yet another addition has been made to KSB’s comprehensive range of heat transfer fluid pumps: In April the Frankenthal-based pump manufacturers introduced their new Etaline SYT series. The single-stage volute casing pumps are designed with suction and discharge nozzles on the same axis, which is also referred to as in-line design. The piping layout for such pump sets can be kept very simple, so they are an ideal choice for compact heating systems and confined spaces.  The pumps cater for

  • a maximum flow rate of 316 m³/h and
  • heads of up to 69 m.

Etaline SYT pumps handle hot water as well as mineral and synthetic thermal oils at temperatures of up to 350 degrees Celsius. Robust in design, the new pumps are particularly suited to the rough conditions experienced in heat transfer systems.

KSB: Hot water recirculation pump without external cooling

KSB_HPK-L (2)Early in June 2014, KSB will launch a new generation of hot water recirculation pumps for large industrial heating systems as well as forced circulation boilers and district heating systems. The horizontal, radially split single-stage volute casing pumps feature a back pull-out design. Their ratings and dimensions comply with ISO 2858; with regard to handling hot water, organic or synthetic heat transfer fluids, they also meet the technical requirements of ISO 5199.  The HPK-L pump series, which comes in 49 different sizes, can be operated at temperatures of up to 400 °C without any additional cooling devices, and is designed for pressure classes of up to PN 40. This temperature resistance is achieved by means of a generously sized heat barrier which separates the pump set’s hot operating section from the air-cooled mechanical seal chamber.

KSB: Motor-mounted speed control system for centrifugal pumps

KSB_PumpDrive_EcoThe latest version of the “motor-mounted” speed control system for centrifugal pumps was designed specifically to cater to heating and air-conditioning applications. The system makes it possible to reduce energy costs by matching pump output to actual demand. The parameters of PumpDrive Eco are set at the factory based on the specific pump and motor data. This reduces the time required for commissioning the unit.

dabWith Evosta, this Italian manufacturer completes the Evo series ranging from Evotron to Evoplus. This version is specifically designed for the needs of heating systems and adjusted on basic needs. Primarily conceived for residential applications, given its small size and peculiar characteristics, the youngest of the Dab family is the new entry of the electronic series – a single product that is an alternative to a wide range of products on the market, with a pressure from 4 to 7 meters, available with different system connection configurations. Evosta, created to offer maximum versatility, is perfectly interchangeable with the previous traditional 3-speed circulator series.

KSB takes over Danish pump manufacturer

On 16 February 2012, KSB took over an eighty percent share in Copenhagen-based T. Smedegaard A/S. The company, established in 1942 and with a workforce of around 80, manufactures the type of circulating pump used above all in heating systems. It has two production sites, one in Denmark and one in Switzerland, as well as business locations in the United Kingdom and Sweden.
