Heat transfer oil circulation pump acc. to DIN EN 733

The pump manufacturer Dickow has developed a new pump line NKX for circulation of thermal oil. The pump casing is designed for 16 bar and 350 °C. The new pump line extends the application limit of the previous NKLs-type. The new NKX will replace the series NKLs with exactly the same dimensions in future.

The NKX is used as a circulation pump for hot oils in industrial heating plants/units. The performance range covers capacities up to 400 m3/h and differential heads up to 90 m in 50 Hz services; and capacities up to 2,500 US-gpm and differential heads up to 400 ft in 60 Hz services. The dimensions and performance range of these centrifugal pumps are according to DIN EN 733, that means range is subdivided into different pump sizes in order to achieve best efficiency for all service conditions inside the envelope.

KSB: New high-efficiency circulators for OEMs

The high-efficiency circulator range Calio SI type series are intended for use in heating, air-conditioning and solar power systems where they facilitate automatic operation with constant-pressure or proportional-pressure control as well as operation with 0-10 V setpoint input or external control via PWM signal in accordance with VDMA-Einheitsblatt [Standard Sheet].

On the HMI, Dual and EcoMatch variants the user can select the required mode of operation via two pushbuttons on the control panel.

The new CombiTherm Plus pump provides transfer of hot fluids without the need for additional, external cooling systems. The air-cooled CombiTherm Plus pump provides transfer of hot oil or hot water in a wide range of applications including

KSB: New heat transfer fluid pump in in-line design

131202_Etaline-SYT_01 (2)Yet another addition has been made to KSB’s comprehensive range of heat transfer fluid pumps: In April the Frankenthal-based pump manufacturers introduced their new Etaline SYT series. The single-stage volute casing pumps are designed with suction and discharge nozzles on the same axis, which is also referred to as in-line design. The piping layout for such pump sets can be kept very simple, so they are an ideal choice for compact heating systems and confined spaces.  The pumps cater for

  • a maximum flow rate of 316 m³/h and
  • heads of up to 69 m.

Etaline SYT pumps handle hot water as well as mineral and synthetic thermal oils at temperatures of up to 350 degrees Celsius. Robust in design, the new pumps are particularly suited to the rough conditions experienced in heat transfer systems.

KSB: Hot water recirculation pump without external cooling

KSB_HPK-L (2)Early in June 2014, KSB will launch a new generation of hot water recirculation pumps for large industrial heating systems as well as forced circulation boilers and district heating systems. The horizontal, radially split single-stage volute casing pumps feature a back pull-out design. Their ratings and dimensions comply with ISO 2858; with regard to handling hot water, organic or synthetic heat transfer fluids, they also meet the technical requirements of ISO 5199.  The HPK-L pump series, which comes in 49 different sizes, can be operated at temperatures of up to 400 °C without any additional cooling devices, and is designed for pressure classes of up to PN 40. This temperature resistance is achieved by means of a generously sized heat barrier which separates the pump set’s hot operating section from the air-cooled mechanical seal chamber.

KSB: Motor-mounted speed control system for centrifugal pumps

KSB_PumpDrive_EcoThe latest version of the “motor-mounted” speed control system for centrifugal pumps was designed specifically to cater to heating and air-conditioning applications. The system makes it possible to reduce energy costs by matching pump output to actual demand. The parameters of PumpDrive Eco are set at the factory based on the specific pump and motor data. This reduces the time required for commissioning the unit.
