At ISH 2025, the trade fair for HVAC + Water in Frankfurt, Germany, the KSB Group will present its new ready-to-connect HyaRain 2 and HyaRain 2 Plus systems for intelligent rainwater management. Their main applications are rainwater and service water harvesting as well as irrigation. Fitted with multistage self-priming centrifugal pumps of very high efficiencies, these systems are characterised by a very low energy consumption. Convenience is a major feature of these systems. They are easy to install and very quiet to operate.

The ready-to-connect units come with all the accessories required for connection to the water mains and are designed with automatic venting. A float switch for the rainwater storage tank or a water level indication are easy to connect from the outside. As standard, HyaRain 2 includes a float switch with a 20 m cable. HyaRain 2 Plus is fitted with a level sensor, displaying the fill level in percent.
A reliably continuous supply is ensured by HyaRain 2 and HyaRain 2 Plus. If the rainwater storage tank is empty, the system automatically switches to mains water. Further, a programmable functional check of the three-way valve, integrated dry running protection and the programmable intervals for water change in the mains water storage tank add to reliable operation below the flood level.
Both the systems are designed for an operating pressure of up to 6 bar and offer a choice between automatic and manual operation. An additional connection for a booster pump, e.g. an AmaDrainer submersible motor pump, is also available. A display indicating the operating pressure and fill level of the rainwater storage tank provides the user with transparency. In the case of HyaRain 2 Plus, alarm messages are output via an integrated relay.
Both models cover flow rates of up to 3500 litres per hour and reach a maximum head of 45 metres. The maximum temperature of the fluid handled should not exceed +35 °C.
