Sulzer Pumpen (Deutschland) GmbH has marked its 150th anniversary by holding a celebration at its pump factory in Bruchsal. Gathering local dignitaries and colleagues, the event showcased the rich history of the company and its goals for the future.

The facility in Bruchsal is world-renowned for the design and manufacture of pumps used in industrial applications worldwide. Furthermore, its production capabilities are utilized by Sulzer’s global network of service centers, to ensure OEM parts are delivered quickly to customers. Pumps manufactured at the facility have been a popular choice in the energy industry for decades, with models such as the GSG also being adopted for CO2 capture and storage. As well as reducing the environmental impact of customer processes, the recent installation of a photovoltaic plant at the site is expected to save up to 176 tonnes of CO2 emissions and generate 300’000 kWh of renewable electricity annually.

David Pistor gave a presentation to local dignitaries and colleagues.

David Pistor, Managing Director at Sulzer Pumpen GmbH, kicked off proceedings with a lively presentation on the heritage of the company. Looking to the future as well, he explored on-going energy saving projects at the facility and for customers across industries. He concluded: “A big thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating this incredible milestone. I’d like to extend my gratitude to the Mayoress for visiting us on the day too. Since 1872, Sulzer has been delivering engineering innovations in Germany, and we will be continuing this long into the future. I’m grateful to our customers, colleagues and the local community for contributing to this amazing achievement.”
