For liquids – filled in a drum or containers – which have to be mixed before processing and then pumped or which are containing small solids, the new DDP mixing system with an integrated air-operated double diaphragm pump has been developed by Lutz and offers the perfect solution for many applications. The mixing and pumping process is made via a suction and mixing tube and a 3-way ball valve. The pre-assembled system is immediately ready for use with a few simple steps and is also suitable for explosive liquids.
A compressed air-operated double diaphragm (AODD) pump in size ½” made of stainless steel (1.4404) serves as pump unit and is mounted on a base plate. Using our universal chemical hose, a great variety of liquids can be pumped. For example, paints and varnishes, emulsions, dispersions, suspensions, water/oil mixtures, liquids with increased viscosity and solids content.
The following technical values are convincing in operation:
- A flow rate of 57 l/min,
- an operating pressure of max. 8.2 bar and
- a max. fluid temperature of 93 °C.
- In addition, solids up to a diameter of 3.2 mm can be pumped.
The total weight of the system (including pump) is 21 kg. The suction and mixing tube can quickly and easily be inserted into the bunghole using an optional wire rope suspension and a hoist. The base plate is securely sitting on the container lid via vibration dampers. Additional accessories can be selected from the large Lutz range.
