KSB: Cruise ship ‘Europa 2’ equipped

KSB_Pumpe_Europa2The KSB Group has supplied 70 pumps and around 700 butterfly valves to the new cruise ship Europa 2 run by Hamburg-based cruise ship organiser, Hapag-Lloyd Cruises. The pumps’ spectrum of applications is varied and ranges from cooling the drives in the submerged pods to transporting seawater in ballast systems, supplying fire-fighting systems and handling fresh water, service water, waste water and sewage.

KSB at Ifat: Pumps for a green London

KSB is set to supply four 52-tonne waste water pumps for the construction of the Lee Tunnel in London. Each of these pumps will feature an impeller measuring 2.2 metres in diameter. At this year’s IFAT trade fair in Munich (7 to 11 May), KSB will be presenting one of these giant impellers as a special highlight at its stand. A total of six pump sets including two smaller drainage pumps will be installed in a shaft structure 85 metres below the Beckton Sewage Treatment Works in London – Britain’s largest waste water and sewage treatment plant – and used to transport combined stormwater and sewage.
