The new double mechanical seal in tandem arrangement is especially well suited to the particular requirements of dry-installed and wet-installed waste water pumps. During development of the 4STQ – a double mechanical seal module – KSB’s engineers strove to ensure that its installation and removal remained as straightforward as possible. Assembly fixtures and fastening bolts are not required, and the seal’s modular design minimises downtime during maintenance inspections as well as preventing faulty reassembly.

With the HRC N mechanical seal series, EagleBurgmann provides a seal system (version DIN 24960, Part C) for standard chemical pumps with conically opened sealed space that complies with the requirements for a standardized and application-related seal solution.
As a novelty within the HRC… N series, EagleBurgmann has now launched the optimized double seal HRC3300N on the market that has the same mounting dimensions and which uses some of the non-variable parts from the predecessor HRC3000N. A new stationary seat that does not require binding was used. This, and the improvements to the seal on the atmosphere side, makes the HRC3300N definitely more service friendly. Omitting the binding makes it possible to use the high-performance DiamondFace diamond coating, and the operating temperature increases to +200°C (+392°F). (more…)
With the new Flange Integrity Management (FIM) program and specially equipped service units, such as trailers or containers, EagleBurgmann offers customized service in the plant directly on site. The FIM full package includes all necessary services from training the assembly personnel (EN1591-4) to performing analyses, flange inspections, seal packaging, assembly and complete documentation. The provision and production of seals, the deployment of experienced gasket specialists for valves and pumps, or jobs such as the turning of sealing surfaces on site are advantages for the operator.
Perlast ICE G90LT is a 90 durometer, low temperature, perfluoroelastomer compound with exceptional explosive decompression (ED) resistance for high pressure environments. This material offers the chemical resistance superiority associated with perfluoroelastomer (FFKM) combined with low temperature capabilities down to -46°C (-51°F) making them suitable for use in API 6A and 6D wellhead equipment and pipeline valves.
As the beating heart in all manner of systems including diaphragm pumps, diaphragms have to withstand long and heavy loads. They also have to meet the toughest of requirements in pneumatic systems, fittings, and many, many other applications. With diaphragms made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), Freudenberg Simrit has succeeded in taking a decisive step towards significantly extending the service lives of diaphragms. TPU is also incredibly resistant to abrasion, which means that the components in which it is used in get top grades for lifecycle duration and economic efficiency.
