Klaus Union: New magnetically coupled twin screw pump acc. API 676

Thursday, September 21st, 2017 von admin

With the proven Klaus Union magnetic drive and a modular design, the pump manufacturer offers a highly flexible and robust seal-less magnetically coupled twin screw pump: the SLM DSP-2C. Due to its seal-less design and leakage-free operation, it is especially suitable for applications in the chemical and petrochemical industry.

Robust design and leakage-free operation has been the focus in developing the new twin screw pump series SLM DSP-2C. For this purpose, the manufacturer takes advantage of its established modular pump system, which has proven itself for many years in the complete magnet drive pump range consisting of

Richter expanded RMA series

Thursday, June 29th, 2017 von admin

The RMA series of magnetic drive pumps have been expanded by the new size RMA 4x3x10H. This pump offers increased flow capacity and delivery heights.  The compact pump size with optimized hydraulic system for high flow rates is particularly targeted for North American pump users. The external dimensions per ASME / ANSI and the custom hydraulic system have been developed with interchangeability in mind.  This allows for easy replacement of existing pumps without major installation hassle.

CP Pumpen: 14 PFA lined magnetic drive chemical process pumps

Monday, June 12th, 2017 von admin

The Swiss pump manufacturer CP Pumpen AG received a order from a worldwide leading producer in the chemical industry. Within a base process, the MKPL pumps will ensure the safe and reliable handling of the fluid. The PFA lined process pumps deliver a performance from 0.5 to 400 m3/h for a total head of 3 to 90 meters. They are used to handle hot and/or highly concentrated acids, bases, solvent and diffusing fluids within a temperature range of -20°C up to +200°C.

CP: New magnetic drive centrifugal pump up to 750 m³/h

Tuesday, October 13th, 2015 von admin

cpThe Swiss pump manufacturer CP Pumpen AG has put a new pump size on the market. The new magnetic drive pump, MKP 250-200-315, enhances the MKP series. These pumps are – according a company’s information – “considered high-performance, energy-efficient, sturdy and very safe – regardless of which medium is pumped. CP’s development team was able to implement all of these product properties in the new MKP 250-200-315.”

“The demand for pumps with a large flow volume had increased in the past. With a volume of up to 750 m3/h, the new MKP is complementing our series with a size that is important for the market”, says Heinz Mathys, Marketing & Sales Director and member of the CP Management Team.

KSB: New mag-drive pump for process engineering applications

Monday, May 26th, 2014 von admin

131202_Magnochem_04 (2)KSB launch the latest generation of its Magnochem mag-drive pumps recently.

Available in 52 sizes, the new series is primarily characterised by high outputs per size ensuring extremely low energy consumption. All pump characteristics conform to the ISO 2858/EN 22 858/ISO 5199 standards.  The pumps’ engineers have paid particular attention to the design of the magnetic coupling and the routing of circulation, cooling and lubricating flows. This allows the operator to choose between four operating modes ranging from a simple internal circulation to a so-called dead-end configuration with an auxiliary hydraulic system. As an option, an external heat exchanger can be installed. This means that the pump set can be optimised for the pumping of polymerising, coagulating and crystallising as well as low-boiling fluids.

HNPM: Hermetic micro annular gear pumps

Wednesday, January 15th, 2014 von admin

mzr-4661-tech-zeichnungThe magnetic driven, hermetic series of micro annular gear pumps has been extended with regard to size and drive options. These pumps are suitable for handling

  • crystallizing,
  • air or moisture-sensitive liquids

because the pump has no shaft seal. This feature is made possible thanks to a liquid-separating cup surrounding the magnetic drive. Long service life, leak-free operation, low energy consumption and an integrated speed controller characterize this pump series of the German HNP Mikrosysteme GmbH just like the compact measurements of the pump with a minimum diameter of 22 mm and a minimum length of 69 mm.

Magnetic Couplings Seal New Zero-leakage API 685 Refinery Pump

Wednesday, January 15th, 2014 von admin

MAK 685 KSBKSB South Africa in cooperation with EagleBurgmann specified high-efficiency magnetic couplings to seal the shaft for the newly designed API 685 process pump. It was also decided to use the couplings from the proven MAK685 series because they reliably cover a broad application field in the higher pressure and performance range.

Ralph Schommer, Dickow project manager for Sadara orders

Dickow Pumpen, based in Germany, has awarded several orders covering 164 pieces of magnetic coupled pumps for the Sadara Chemical Complex. Sadara is a joint venture of Dow Chemical and Saudi Aramco located in Jubail Industrial City, Saudi Arabia. Once completed it will represent the largest petrochemical facility ever built in a single phase. The fully integrated complex will consist of 26 chemical manufacturing units producing a variety of chemicals, such as amines, propylene glycol, polyurethanes, low density polyethylene, elastomers, glycol ethers and propylene oxide.

Due to the sheer size of the complex multiple EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) contractors are involved in the realization of this huge project. Dickow pumps are part of several pump packages for different production units, including orders from Daelim (South Korea), Fluor (USA), Jacobs / Alfa Laval (Denmark) and lately Tecnicas Reunidas (Spain). 100 pumps are already shipped or almost completed.
