These systems have been designed for the application of fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, insecticides and other strong chemicals. The chemical tanks have a sloped bottom for complete drainage and ease of cleaning. All tanks larger than 55 gallons are fitted into double-wall containment and with double wall injection lines to protect the environment. A cover shields the pump, piping and electrical controls from the elements and excludes rain and debris, which allows 100% reclaim of uncontaminated chemical in the event of a spill or broken line.

Global fluid management solutions Kirloskar Brothers has taken its Engineering capabilities and expertise to the shores of Nile in Egypt. For over 50 years Kirloskar Brothers has had a strong presence in Egypt where it recently set two major pumping stations on the banks of the Nile River. Kirloskar Brothers envisages great potential in this region and has chalked out a blue print to leverage the business further. The company has set up a mammoth 10,000 sq meters facility in Cairo under its subsidiary SPP Pumps MENA LLC. Through this facility, Kirloskar Brothers will provide value added services i.e. energy audits, system analysis, vibration analysis, on site testing, cost effective refurbishment solutions, maintenance contracts et al. Besides, assembly and packaging of specialized products such as FM/UL firefighting pumping units, pump sets for HVAC, process pumps etc. too will be available.
The E,F&G Series pumps have been specifically designed for capacities up to 682 m3/h (3,000 gpm) or heads up to 95 meters (310 feet) A broad range of sizes and configuration options offer best performance for a wide variety of water pumping applications. These pumps are equipped with a choice of either a close-coupled NEMA electric motor or frame mounted with couplings to electric motors, engines steam turbines or belt-driven motors. The E,F&G Series pump’s 360-degree mounting capabilities extend installation options, while its close-coupled configurations can also be mounted vertically when space is at a minimum.
The UPA type series is intended for use in
- general water supply,
- groundwater drawdown and management,
- fire-fighting and
- pressure boosting applications.
The Helix Excel series is driven by EC motors with extremely low current consumption. These centrifugal pumps achieve motor efficiency values according to the manufacturer’s figures that even outclass the limit of the upcoming efficiency class IE4 (acc. to IEC TS 60034-31 Ed.1). As a result, all the future specifications of the new EU Regulation that came into force on 16 June 2011 under the auspices of the European Ecodesign Directive on the energy efficiency of electric motors are far outclassed.
