Netzsch will be presented with a highly appreciated 2014 best practices award by Frost & Sullivan for the second time since 2011. In its motivation statement, Frost & Sullivan explains that the 2014 Global Product Leadership Award in Progressive Cavity Pumps for Oil and Gas was issued by evaluating total client experience and strategy implementation excellence us-ing a scorecard, including 10 benchmark criteria for both product leadership and manage-ment culture.

Lewa: New plunger pump according to API 674

QuintuplexThis new generation of pumps has splitted gear housings. This special feature significantly facilitates maintenance, permitting the use of a fully balanced crankshaft which generates less noise and vibration, thus reducing wear. The power range was also extended with two quintuplex plunger pumps.  The very short design of these plunger pumps is made possible by the special alignment of the plunger and crosshead. These pumps also have high efficiency, low energy consumption, and a long service life.

Russian Award for Hermetic

IMG_0891_rgb-348x350Hermetic-Pumpen GmbH, located in the German Black Forest town of Gundelfingen near Freiburg, was recognised with the “Russian oil and gas industries’ best centrifugal-pump manufacturer for 2013” award during the NefteGasPererabotka conference for Russian refineries. The award was presented recently in Moscow and is the result of an independent survey involving 60 Russian refineries.

Ruhrpumpen opens new manufacturing plant in Argentina

RuhrRuhrpumpen‘s newest property includes 3,000 m2 (32,290 SF) of office space and a well-equipped service center capable of repairing all types of pumps.  Argentina‘s new manufacturing plant is equipped for assembling all of Ruhrpumpen’s product range, and manufactures most parts for vertical and horizontal pumps. Initially, the new plant will manufacture some parts for the OH2 SCE (API 610) and other new products to be released in 2013, including a European Standard (EN 733) pump from Ruhrpumpen.

Canned motor pumps for the conveying of liquefied gases

More and more seal-less canned motor pumps are being employed for the conveying of liquefied gases. They are distinguished by operational safety, an extremely low level of noise, low life cycle costs and in particular by the high degree of environmental friendliness, alongside their compactness and easy installation. They are a safe alternative to conventional centrifugal pumps and magnetic drive pumps.
