Produktabbildung Vitacast

The focal point of KSB’s presence in Munich will be its four hygienic pump series Vitachrom, Vitacast, Vitalobe and Vitaprime. Thanks to the wide range of variants available with these pumps, nearly all tasks in relation with the hygienic handling of liquid and viscous food can be fulfilled. All pumps belonging to the Vita series have been awarded the certificates common to the industry, such as EHEDG, and their elastomer components conform to FDA standards. The pumps’ CIP/SIP capabilities are also promoted by electropolished wetted components and the use of high-grade stainless steels.

In Munich, KSB Service will showcase for the first time a special maintenance concept tailored to the hygiene-standard requirements of food pumps.

Tapflo: New series of diaphragm pumps

Wednesday, June 28th, 2017 von admin

The new TC pumps are fitted with LEAP – Low Energy Air Pump – technology used in AODD pumps to reduce the minimum operating air pressure by reducing internal losses and friction. LEAP uses a indirect system to detect the position of the diaphragm shaft controlling the diaphragm movement automatically.

The TC pump is able to start pumping at 0.1 bar without stalling. Key benefits are

Siemens: Digitalization package for next motor generation

Tuesday, April 4th, 2017 von admin

With the latest generation of its Simotics SD (Severe Duty) motors, Siemens is offering a digitalization package to address the future challenges facing the world of drive technology. The new design is based on a robust, compact gray cast iron lowvoltage motor with high power density. Its future-oriented energy efficiency concept is designed to provide a competitive boost to customers and users. Their extreme resistance makes the Simotics SD low-voltage motors suitable for applications in harsh environmental conditions involving exposure to dust, vibrations or aggressive atmospheres. These benefits make the motors ideal for applications in the petrochemical and general process industries.

KSB motors IE5 classified

Wednesday, March 22nd, 2017 von admin

The KSB SuPremE motor made by the Frankenthal pump manufacturer KSB has been IE5 classified since January 2017. The motor meets the requirements of IE5 (IEC/TS 60034-30-2), the highest of energy efficiency classes for variable speed electric motors; compared with IE4, motor losses are reduced by a further 20 percent.

Unlike conventional synchronous motors this drive is made without any magnetic materials such as rare earths that are categorised as critical raw materials since their extraction causes severe environmental impacts in their countries of origin.

KSB: New high-efficiency circulators for OEMs

Monday, January 23rd, 2017 von admin

The high-efficiency circulator range Calio SI type series are intended for use in heating, air-conditioning and solar power systems where they facilitate automatic operation with constant-pressure or proportional-pressure control as well as operation with 0-10 V setpoint input or external control via PWM signal in accordance with VDMA-Einheitsblatt [Standard Sheet].

On the HMI, Dual and EcoMatch variants the user can select the required mode of operation via two pushbuttons on the control panel.

KSB: New drinking water circulators

Monday, February 15th, 2016 von admin

160127_CalioTherm_0033The new high-efficiency circulators of the Calio-Therm S NC series are maintenance-free glandless pumps designed for pumping drinking water in closed circuits, which are commonly found in single-family or two-family houses as well as in larger building projects.
Like the other Calio pumps the new circulators offer a high-efficiency permanent magnet motor to achieve top efficiencies. With one-touch operation the flow rate can be adjusted via three speed levels. In the event of a blocked rotor the motor stops automatically, and a fault is indicated. Three LEDs display the operating status. The screwed connections are available in dimension Rp ½ internal thread (EN 10266) or G 1 ¼ external thread (DIN ISO 228). The maximum flow rate equals 0.7 m³/h. The pump’s maximum head is 1.0 m. The drinking water temperature should measure between +5 °C and +65 °C.

KSB: Mobile app brings Industry 4.0 to all pumps

Friday, May 15th, 2015 von admin

KSB_Sonolyzer_001The KSB Sonolyzer app is based on an algorithm that has been integrated in PumpMeter units for five years now, of which well over 30,000 have already been sold.
The smartphone-based application does not require knowledge of the individual characteristic curve or any additional technical data of the pump set to be measured, however, and can also be used with pumps from other manufacturers. Users can utilise the app to determine the load at which each centrifugal pump driven by a fixed-speed asynchronous motor is being operated. The following data must be entered for this purpose: the motor rating, the rated motor speed, the head and the flow rate of the pump. This information can be read from the name plate affixed to every pump.

Hapag Lloyd chooses electronic pump control from Colfax

Wednesday, April 8th, 2015 von admin

Hapag Lloyd will equip ships of the 13,200-TEU Hamburg Express class and other vessels with the CM-1000® pump control system. The CM-1000 system controls the flow rates of seawater cooling pumps based on the temperature of the fresh water and the current need for coolant. As a result, the amount of seawater pumped into the seawater cooler matches requirements, saving electrical power on board the ship.
