Wangen: New hygienic twin screw pump

This new pump generation offers a spindle change without re-synchronisation of the spindle shafts. All you have to do is remove the housing and loosen the screws and the spindles can then be removed in order to replace the seal in a fast and straightforward manner, for example. Thanks to a self-centring flange casing, which is available as an option, the coupling is optimally aligned automatically. As a result, renewed alignment of the coupling with the pump, e.g. after service activities, is not required. In addition, the Twin guarantees a long service life, among other things, as a result of the further-developed, high-quality components and materials, such as the further-developed shafts.

Technical Paper: New hygenic twin screw pumps

JEC LTD, leading sanitary pumps manufacturer in R.O.Korea, launched the JRZS Series of twin screw pumps gifted by extensively accumulated experience for hygienic pumping. These pumps are offering

KSB at drinktec 2017 in Munich

The focal point of KSB’s presence in Munich will be its four hygienic pump series Vitachrom, Vitacast, Vitalobe and Vitaprime. Thanks to the wide range of variants available with these pumps, nearly all tasks in relation with the hygienic handling of liquid and viscous food can be fulfilled. All pumps belonging to the Vita series have been awarded the certificates common to the industry, such as EHEDG, and their elastomer components conform to FDA standards. The pumps’ CIP/SIP capabilities are also promoted by electropolished wetted components and the use of high-grade stainless steels.

In Munich, KSB Service will showcase for the first time a special maintenance concept tailored to the hygiene-standard requirements of food pumps.

Almatec: Sanitary AODD pumps

The Biocor pumps have been specifically designed for critical sterile applications, and meet the strict standards, regulations and operational requirements that govern the food and beverage industry because they contain no horizontal areas. Available with a 316L polished stainless steel wetted path, these pumps provide superior containment and utilize ball-lifting magnets that can be attached to the pump housing from the outside at the location of the four ball valves. With the use of magnets, the ball valves can be lifted from their seats, allowing the pump to be drained entirely without needing to be disassembled or removed from the application. This enables clean-in-place (CIP) and sanitize-in-place (SIP) capabilities.

This enables individual adaptation of the connections to any conceivable production system requirement. Thanks to central positioning of the gearwheels inside the bearing support area, the entire pump comes in a very compact design. Moreover, its massive shaft has reinforcements in the area of critical diameters to ensure maximum rigidity. Further stability is achieved through a combination of particular large bearings and an increased bearing distance. The result is smooth running with minimal wear.

ITT Bornemann: Twin-Screw-Pump receives EHEDG EL Aseptic Certificate

slh_4g_big_cyan_kleinSingle-flow hygienic Twin-Screw-Pumps, type SLH from ITT Bornemann, have been successfully installed in many applications in the food-, beverage and pharmaceutical industry for many years. It is one of the main functions to pump high viscous fluids. Because of the high rotational speed range (up to 3600 rpm) it is also possible for the pump to handle low viscous products with a high flow velocity. So it is possible to use the SLH Twin-Screw-Pumps also for the CIP-Process.

To reach the high criteria of hygienic design ITT Bornemann designs the pump inside and outside in best way without loss of functionality. Salino Pressure Center

Special eye-catcher at the KSB stand from 11 to 13 November 2014 will be the Salino Pressure Center, a system designed for economical water treatment based on membrane technology. The Frankenthal-based pump manufacturer will showcase this product at the Nuremberg trade fair at the request of engineering contractors operating at a global level since many non-European breweries must treat their process water themselves. The Salino Pressure Center consists of an axial piston pump and an axial piston motor, arranged on a common shaft. Driven by the return flow from the membrane, the axial piston motor transfers its power directly to the pump shaft. As pipes are not required between the individual components, the system takes up minimal space and is highly energy-efficient.
