Sulzer: Centrifugal Pump Package to Fibria Celulose in Brazil

Ahlstar_Process_PumpSulzer has been awarded a frame contract for process and medium consistency pumps to the Horizonte 2 project by Fibria Celulose SA, a Brazilian forestry company and the world’s leading eucalyptus pulp producer. Fibria’s new production line will be built in the Três Lagoas Unit in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul and it is scheduled for startup in late 2017.

Fibria’s new production line with an annual capacity of 1.75 million tons will increase the capacity of Fibria’s existing Três Lagoas mill to 3.05 million tons of pulp per year. Sulzer supplies the manufacturing, testing, packaging, and installation supervision of the centrifugal pumps. The pump package contains highly efficient

New Ruhrpumpen Plant in Brazil

The manufacturer of centrifugal pumps has announced the opening of their new 7,500 m² plant in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, which includes 671 m² of office space, a Test Lab (up to 6,000 HP), and a Service Center. With the recent opening of this facility in Rio de Janeiro, Ruhrpumpen now has eight plants strategically situated on four continents. Furthermore, the company has a wide network of Service Centers with plans for a new center in Antofagasta, Chile.

KSB opens new factory in Brazil

KSB_pic_2_On 18 April 2013, pumps and valves manufacturer KSB inaugurated its new factory in Jundiaí, Brazil, some 50 km north of São Paulo. The location, designed as a production site for standard pumps and valves, will begin by manufacturing ball, gate and globe valves. Once the valve production is up and running, the company will start supplying the market with standard pumps from the new location. KSB has been present in Brazil with a factory since 1954, currently has a workforce of 933, and recruits the majority of its customers from the chemical and petrochemical industries, from general industry and the water management field.
