The G3M, a heavy-duty, medium-sized triplex drive unit, was originally developed to bring re-liquefied boil-off gases from LNG tankers to a high pressure level, rendering these gases usable for the ships’ propulsion system. As a rugged workhorse, it is also ideal for various other applications, including use in the chemical industry or for offshore applications on oil platforms. The Lewa Triplex G3M process diaphragm pump was one of the main exhibits of Lewa GmbH at Achema 2015.
The G3M is an intermediate size product in the Lewa portfolio that attains a maximum output of 200 kW thanks to its stroke length of 120 mm and a rod force of 125 kN. It is intended for use primarily in the oil and gas industry, as well as the chemical process industry. The chief application in the former sector is injecting monoethylene glycol and methanol. In the process industry, a wide variety of pumping tasks in pressure ranges between 40 and 750 bar can be managed. Other possible applications include handling highly flammable materials such as vinyl acetate, slurry in the wet oxidation or high-pressure metering of liquid ammonia.
India’s leading company Kirloskar Brothers Limited (KBL), which specializes in fluid management, will showcase its solutions at Achema 2015 to be held in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, from 15th to 19th June. KBL’s sister concern Kirloskar Ebara Pumps Ltd. (KEPL) as well as its 100% subsidiary SPP Pumps will also participate in the exhibition to showcase their expertise.
KBL is the flagship company of the US $ 2.1 billion Kirloskar Group and a global fluid management solutions provider and the largest manufacturer and exporter of centrifugal pumps and valves. KBL has a strong global presence with operations in Asia, Africa, Europe, Middle East and North America.
The new Almatec air-operated diaphragm pump series CXM – shown at Achema 2015 – consists of four sizes and can be equipped with seven different product connections. This is possible thanks to the modular design of the pumps. For each pump of the sizes 20, 50 and 130 two center blocks are available with different connection types and sizes.
This wide range of product connections allows a precise adjustment of the pump to the specific application. This is reinforced by the alternative choice between a ball and cylinder valve system, which can also be converted to each other. Ball valves are ideal for liquids containing particles, cylinder valves for superior suction lift.
Achema 2015 will see KSB showcase totally leak-free canned motor pumps from the Ecochem Non-Seal range designed to transport hazardous, aggressive, flammable and explosive fluids. The pumps are also capable of handling toxic and extremely hot or cold media as well as volatile or valuable liquids.
