Suspended pumps with hydraulic system of standardised chemical pumps

Friday, May 18th, 2018 von admin

The Estigia type series extends KSB product portfolio for the chemical and petrochemical industries and other applications. It will be showcased at Achema 2018 trade fair in Frankfurt.

The low-pressure suspended pumps are designed for vertical wet installation in a closed tank under atmospheric pressure. For the installation depth, various lengths ranging from a minimum of 852 mm to a maximum of 6402 mm are available and three discharge pipe diameters can be selected for each pump size.

Low flow with high head pump applications

Friday, May 18th, 2018 von admin

Side Channel Pumps are self-priming pumps that operate in low NPSH conditions & have the ability to handle up to 50% entrained gas. These pumps run at very low flow rates, while generating medium to high differential pressures.

Side Channel Pump specialist, Sero PumpSystems, will showcase these capabilities and the operation of multifunction pumps with their Mini Pump Lab (Fig.) at 2018 Achema  trade show in Frankfurt. Sero will demonstrate an affordable, easy and effective control of side channel pumps utilizing “Industrie 4.0”, as well as duty point monitoring within the pump’s performance range.

Augmented reality supports pump and valve service

Wednesday, May 9th, 2018 von admin

At this year’s Achema, KSB Service GmbH is, for the first time, presenting its new service concept based on augmented reality. It is all about working with data glasses linked with the Internet, or with a smartphone app. Via these devices users or technicians are guided during their service work by an expert per video and audio. The experts, looking into their screen at their usual service workplace, can assess the situation through the eyes of the person present at the site.

This helps instruct technicians who are not specialised in pumps, for example, to carry out common maintenance measures, step by step. Further, the data glasses can be used to transmit exploded views or screenshots that can then be viewed in the corresponding field.

High-speed metering gear pumps for complex applications

Friday, May 4th, 2018 von admin

Oerlikon Barmag pumps are used in processes at the chemicals, plastics, paints and lacquers industries as well as in PUR applications. One of the biggest challenges is metering poorly-lubricating media. The pump manufacturer wil show at Achema in Frankfurt the GM and GA ranges an a high-speed pump with sealed product space.

The main advantage of the high-speed pump is the sealed product space. The space within the pump that comes into contact with the media is therefore limited to the area around the gears. The external, ball-bearing support points in the high-speed pump are externally lubricated, hence ensuring that the product to be metered does not cause damage as a result of poor lubrication.

Hygienic pump for filtration systems with up to 80 bar

Thursday, May 3rd, 2018 von admin

Representing a specific evolution of Fristam FP centrifugal pumps, the FPH range combines all the construction benefits of the standard range, including open impellers and flow-optimised pumping channel, with the suitability for use under high system pressure and with high volumetric flows. What is more, FPH pumps transport media with a viscosity of up to 800 mPa s especially in membrane filtration systems.

Solenoid diaphragm metering pump with Dulconnect

Monitoring and controlling the interwoven processes produces an ever increasing amount of data and information. And this needs to be designed to be as transparent as possible. Modern metering pumps are equipped with features, which accommodate Chemistry 4.0 and/or Process 4.0. They reduce consumption of the raw materials and help to minimize operating errors and downtimes. This is achieved because the pumps are not only robust, adaptive and user-friendly, but are designed to offer comprehensive networking. They are robust: their construction ensures a long service life and high availability. They are adaptive and can automatically adapt to constantly changing operating conditions. They are user-friendly, easy to install and commission. Clear, intuitive operation ensures simple parameterization, calibration and storage. They can be networked they communicate using CANopen, Profibus and Profinet at fieldbus level and can be remote-controlled using an app.

New metering pumps gamma/ x and gamma/ XL clearly illustrate how these features are realized. ProMinent will present the new solenoid diaphragm metering pump at Achema 2018.

Pump monitoring with Atex certification

Monday, April 23rd, 2018 von admin

At this year’s Achema, Allweiler will exhibit its intelligent condition and operation monitoring system (hall 8.0, booth D63). Known as IN-1000, it is now also available with Atex certification for use in EX zones. IN-1000 was developed specifically for Allweiler pumps that are used in operationally-critical and environmentally-sensitive applications in chemical engineering.

The IN-1000 can be used for a wide range of condition monitoring applications, from simple, single-pump installations to complex, multi-pump systems while improving safety and reducing operating costs simultaneously.

KSB puts pumps into the Internet of Things

Thursday, March 15th, 2018 von admin

At this year’s Achema, KSB is presenting a new pump monitoring system called KSB Guard. Networked vibration and temperature sensors fitted directly to the pump make availability at plant level transparent. The system ensures that changes in the operating behaviour of the machine are detected at an early stage, and maintenance work can be better planned, without having to be on site with the pump. Unlike previous systems, KSB Guard is ideally suited for retrofitting. The sensor unit is attached to the bearing bracket or the drive lantern of the pump using a magnet and adhesive, and can be mounted during operation, with no need for changes to the machine. A battery unit, which is also supplied, provides self-sufficient power supply.
