2017- a solid year for Endress+Hauser

Friday, February 23rd, 2018 von admin

In its preliminary financial figures for 2017, Endress+Hauser reported a broadly supported growth in sales, solid profitability and a marked increase in employment. The company is a leading global provider of process and laboratory measurement engineering, automation solutions and services. The Group’s consolidated net sales rose 4.8 percent to 2.2 billion euros. Exchange rate impacts prevented the company from generating even better numbers for the year. “Expressed in local currencies, we grew more than six percent in 2017,” emphasized Chief Financial Officer Dr Luc Schultheiss.

“The consumer-driven economic boom has now reached the capital goods industry as well,” said Matthias Altendorf, CEO of the Group. Higher demand for the company’s products and services spurred a significant increase in new hires, especially in production. Endress+Hauser had 13,299 employees at the end of 2017, an increase of 296 over the prior year.

Pump acceptance testing – now online

Wednesday, February 21st, 2018 von admin

At this year’s Ifat trade fair (14 to 18 May 2018) the KSB Group is introducing a trade fair novelty to its visitors: the newly created online pump acceptance testing. When purchasing large pumps, hydraulic acceptance tests and a final inspection are an essential proof of compliance with the guaranteed values. In the past, customers always had to travel to the test facility to witness their purchased pump being tested.

As testing usually takes place at the manufacturing plant, this is a time-consuming and costly trip, especially for international projects or those that are far away. Online acceptance testing is KSB’s answer, developed as a process enabling reliable and standard-compliant pump acceptance testing. The tests conducted are transmitted live via a specially protected part of the Internet. In an online meeting between pump manufacturer and customer, the customer can see the live camera view of the pump in the test facility as well as the characteristic curve measurement during testing.

Hygienic rotary lobe pump with smooth housing

Wednesday, February 14th, 2018 von admin

The smooth design of the rotary lobe T.Sano series means a completely smooth housing which attracts barely any dirt or dust. This design has been specially developed for the hygiene and food industry, because not only the materials and the cleanability of the pump chamber are subject to strict requirements in the food industry, the outer contours are also taken into account. Ideally, the design of the pump housing must have no rough edges or dead spaces to make sure that no contamination can set.
