KEPL: Pumps for highly critical refinery application

IMAG1498KEPL has shipped the first set “5-stage BB3” pumps to Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) for J3 Project at Jamnagar in Gujarat, India. API 610 standard BB3 pumps are Between Bearing Axially-Split case pump.

BB3 pumps are designed for high temperature and high pressure fluid transfer applications. Its near-centreline mounting design makes the BB3 pump suitable for various refinery applications subjected to the ISO or API criteria for flammable hydrocarbons. The pumping temperatures range for the BB3 Pump is from 5 degree Celsius to 200 degree Celsius and its capacity is upto 2500 m³/h.

Neptune: Metering pumps in irrigation systems

Neptune_Chemigation-30These systems have been designed for the application of fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, insecticides and other strong chemicals. The chemical tanks have a sloped bottom for complete drainage and ease of cleaning. All tanks larger than 55 gallons are fitted into double-wall containment and with double wall injection lines to protect the environment. A cover shields the pump, piping and electrical controls from the elements and excludes rain and debris, which allows 100% reclaim of uncontaminated chemical in the event of a spill or broken line.

Atlas Copco Pumps: New Product Marketing and R&D Managers

Atlas Copco Portable Energy has appointed two new Product Marketing Managers and a new R&D Manager to support the rapid expansion of its pump business.

  • Ola Hällgren is now responsible for the development and marketing of electrical pumps and
  • Joakim Cronstrand will oversee diesel pumps.
  • Martin Lindskog is the new R&D Manager.

With the three new managers, Atlas Copco Portable Energy has the structure in place to support the growth of its pump business. This organizational expansion follows the appointment of Per Rehn as Vice President for Business Development Pumps in 2014.

IN-1000 improves safety while reducing operating costs. The core of the system is a software program developed by Allweiler.
The new Smart Platform can be used in straightforward condition monitoring to complex monitoring activities. This includes operational monitoring of several pumps for simultaneous fulfillment of safety and operating-cost requirements. Examples include monitoring of pressure, temperature, leaks, and vibrations. The system may also be expanded with standard industrial sensors.

Endress+Hauser succeeds in the market

BBA: Environmentally friendly high flow pump unit

BA-C500 Boskalis  (2)Boskalis Technical Service Nederland manages several mobile pump units with high and ultra high flows. Boskalis clearly prefers environmentally friendly equipment and has very specific requirements from their pumps which include;

  • The pump must have a minimum capacity of 5000 m³/hr and a pressure in excess of 3 bar;
  • Excellent suction capabilities (NPSHr curve) and suitable for use as a dewatering pump;
  • High fuel efficiency combined with the lowest exhaust emissions;
  • The pump unit should fit into a 20 ft. container for easy transport;
  • The maximum weight should be no more than 12,000 kilograms.
