Coolvac

The order of a Chinese company includes the manufacturing of a batch of cryogenic vacuum pumps of the series Coolvac for the evacuation of space simulation chambers. These pumps with a flange diameter of 1.3 m anr pumping at rate of 60,000 litres per second for nitrogen. Cryo pumps are used wherever very large vacuum chambers need to be evacuated very rapidly to extremely low pressures, offering high pumping rates and an attainable vacuum of down to 10-12 mbar.

Nash: Liquid ring pumps with high gas flow rates

Monday, November 10th, 2014 von admin

GDNash_PR_2BE5_cmykThe Nash 2BE5 has been launched to build on the 2BE4 series. The development goal was to optimize and extend the performance the vacuum range below 300 mbar abs. The result: The new 2BE5 series pumps are able to achieve vacuum levels down to 100 mbar abs. This is made possible primarily by optimization of the gas flow. The patented gas scavenger provides increased vacuum capacity and, consequently, a significant improvement in terms of efficiency. Compared to the basic 2BE4 model, water consumption in the once-through mode has been reduced by up to 25%. Improved fluid self-recirculation eliminates the need for booster pumps.

KTR: Torque measuring shaft combining four measurements in one

Monday, November 3rd, 2014 von admin

DATAFLEX_mit_RADEX-NCKTR developed a measuring system calculating both angle of rotation and rotating direction in addition to torque and speed for the first time. The new Dataflex series covers a measuring range from 10 to 1,000 Nm and is scheduled to be extended to 5,000 Nm in 2015.

The new precision measuring shaft will rely on the approved measuring principle via strain gauges combined with the latest electronical components. Having a sampling rate of 10 Hz, the system allows for measuring serious torque peaks on highly dynamic drives. The data transmission resistant to interferences operates digitally with a resolution of 24 Bit having a measuring inaccuracy of 0.1 per cent of the terminal value only. The signal provided is extremely low-noise.

Almatec: AODD pumps increase safety and flexibility

Thursday, October 23rd, 2014 von admin

Almatec_CXRThe new CXR Series AODD pump is an extension of Almatec’s CX Series family of general-purpose pumps. CXR Series pumps are available in four sizes: 10, 20, 50, and 130. The main benefit of the CXR pumps is their design flexibility, which allows them to be used for a number of different low- to medium-duty applications, such as a drum pump.

All CXR models can easily be converted from ball to cylinder valves, and vice versa. Incorporating ball valves is ideal for liquids containing particles, while cylinder valves are ideal for transfer applications requiring superior suction lift.

Rheinhütte: 85 pumps for fertiliser plant in Saudi Arabia

Thursday, October 16th, 2014 von admin

RCE_DWH_125_320_20x17Largest single order in company’s history: The Umm Wual phosphate project in northern Saudi Arabia, concerned with the conveyance of the country’s rich deposits of phosphates, is currently being implemented on behalf of Ma’aden (Saudi Arabian Mining Company). The deposits will, among other things, be processed to produce NPK and DAP fertilisers. To this end, Ma‘aden has commissioned the construction of a new plant for the production of fertilisers at the Waad Al-Shamal phosphate industrial complex. The plant will be designed and built by the Spanish industrial plant manufacturer Intecsa Ingenieria Industrial SA. Ma’aden Phosphates Company, one of the largest fertiliser producers in the world, will act as plant operator.

Up to Spring 2015, Friatec AG – Division Rheinhütte Pumpen will supply a total of 85 complete pump units for this plant.

Oerlikon Leybold: Complete pumping systems for architectural glass

Tuesday, October 14th, 2014 von admin

OLV PIC 3Within the various application of coatings for architectural glass and large area coatings as such, the demand for high-quality functional glass is soaring, especially for Low-E glass in functional combinations with other glass types. The requirements for the manufacturing of such quality glasses are high and heavily dependent on the quality of the vacuum processes involved. At the Glasstec Exhibition in Duesseldorf, Germany 21-24-October 2014, Hall 12, Booth F37, Oerlikon Leybold Vacuum will show its specialized products covering the fore vacuum and the high vacuum range of the production chain.
