Combined with rainwater collection systems, the new Aquatwin Top is a pressurisation unit which offers savings in terms of water and therefore energy consumption. The rainwater stored in external tanks supplies all services that do not require drinking water (washing machine, WC…). In domestic applications it is calculated that the daily water requirement is 150 litres per person, in particular due to use of the WC, for cleaning and use of the washing machine, for watering the garden and washing the car. Roughly 50% of this consumption can be provided by rainwater, and the use of this water provides an average cost saving of 50%.

The new RS5 sensor for the proven measurement system Optalign Smart RS introduces unique features to the mid-range shaft alignment segment. Smarter and faster, the new sensor also scores high in terms of usability. The XL HD PSD detector size, combined with the powerful ExtendRange functionality makes the measurement range virtually unlimited. In real terms, this means that large misalignments can even be measured over long distances. With the 5-axis technology, it is also the only sensor in this segment to offer Concurrent Live Move for machine corrections. This enables live monitoring of horizontal and vertical machine corrections at the same time, with the sensor at any rotational shaft position.
Available in 52 sizes, the new series is primarily characterised by high outputs per size ensuring extremely low energy consumption. All pump characteristics conform to the ISO 2858/EN 22 858/ISO 5199 standards. The pumps’ engineers have paid particular attention to the design of the magnetic coupling and the routing of circulation, cooling and lubricating flows. This allows the operator to choose between four operating modes ranging from a simple internal circulation to a so-called dead-end configuration with an auxiliary hydraulic system. As an option, an external heat exchanger can be installed. This means that the pump set can be optimised for the pumping of polymerising, coagulating and crystallising as well as low-boiling fluids.
Early in June 2014, KSB will launch a new generation of hot water recirculation pumps for large industrial heating systems as well as forced circulation boilers and district heating systems. The horizontal, radially split single-stage volute casing pumps feature a back pull-out design. Their ratings and dimensions comply with ISO 2858; with regard to handling hot water, organic or synthetic heat transfer fluids, they also meet the technical requirements of ISO 5199. The HPK-L pump series, which comes in 49 different sizes, can be operated at temperatures of up to 400 °C without any additional cooling devices, and is designed for pressure classes of up to PN 40. This temperature resistance is achieved by means of a generously sized heat barrier which separates the pump set’s hot operating section from the air-cooled mechanical seal chamber.
26th August to 28th August 2014 Shanghai New International Expo Centre: China International Chemical Technology & Equipment Fair – CTEF – specializes in chemical technology & equipments with high efficiency in energy saving, factory construction, environmental protection, fluid engineering and security.
At the Rotex® S-H the hubs are mechanically separated by „cracking“ on purpose. An uneven surface with a positive fit is the result making sure for an exact position of the two halves during assembly. The contoured, uneven cracked surfaces ensure an ideal centering of the hub halves. This guarantees that the hub or the connection of the two hub halves, respectively, is not weakened by the separation by cracking. The „cracked“ hub is screwed in place in block assembly and makes sure that during operation there is no negative impact on the strength of the coupling.
