DAB: Evosta Circulator adapts to any space

Tuesday, September 24th, 2013 von admin

dabWith Evosta, this Italian manufacturer completes the Evo series ranging from Evotron to Evoplus. This version is specifically designed for the needs of heating systems and adjusted on basic needs. Primarily conceived for residential applications, given its small size and peculiar characteristics, the youngest of the Dab family is the new entry of the electronic series – a single product that is an alternative to a wide range of products on the market, with a pressure from 4 to 7 meters, available with different system connection configurations. Evosta, created to offer maximum versatility, is perfectly interchangeable with the previous traditional 3-speed circulator series.

KSB: New zero-leakage refinery pump

Thursday, September 19th, 2013 von admin

KSB_RPHIn early September 2013, KSB launched a zero-leakage mag-drive pump series in back-pull out design: RPHmdp. The horizontal, radially split volute casing pump to US standard API 685 has been developed to reduce maintenance costs and ensure a maximum service life.

Hydraplus 2This 3 inch diameter submersible pump is made of stainless steel. It comes with a three-phase motor with IP68 protection class. This pump reaches a maximum speed of 8.400 RPM at 150Hz. With 0,75 up to 1,10 kW motors, the pump has a total volume of 83 liter per minute.

Mechanical Seal Primary Rings for Sealing Refrigerants and Low Viscosity Liquids

Tuesday, September 17th, 2013 von admin

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERALow viscosity liquids are difficult for mechanical seals because the hydrodynamic film that they create between the two rubbing seal faces is extremely thin. In order for this extremely thin hydrodynamic film to lubricate the two sealing faces, the seal faces must stay highly polished and they must run in very close proximity to each other. The self-polishing characteristic of  mechanical seals with antimony impregnated, carbon-graphite primary rings and solid silicon carbide counter face rings can solve this problem. Low viscosity liquids such as Freon refrigerants, liquid oxygen, liquid carbon dioxide, propane, ethylene, and acetone are now being successfully sealed using mechanical seals with Metcar Grade M-444, antimony impregnated, carbon-graphite primary seal rings.

KSB launches promotion programme for building services

Tuesday, September 17th, 2013 von admin

KSB_Etaline_freistehendIn combination with a PumpDrive speed control system, the SuPremE motors designed and produced by KSB satisfy all IE4 efficiency requirements (to IEC [CD] 60034-30 Ed. 2). This makes them a lot better already than what is required by EU law for 2017. In order to make this CO2-friendly technology available without delay for building services systems, Frankenthal-based pump manufacturer KSB is launching a special promotion programme. From 1 October 2013, all Etaline variable speed in-line pumps with power ratings from 0.55 kW up to and including 18.5 kW will be supplied with SuPremE motors instead of the previous IE2 motors at no extra charge.

Atlas Copco adds Weda 04S to its line-up of small rental and construction pumps

Friday, September 13th, 2013 von admin

atlasThe Weda 04S is a 0.4 kW on-site sludge / trash pump with a maximum flow of 270 lpm and a maximum head of 10.5m. It complements the line of under 1 kW single-phase drainage, sludge and residual pumps released last year.

The Weda 04S has a cast iron vortex impeller that is able to pump dirty water and handle solids up to 25 mm in size. This makes the pump a practical choice for dewatering sewage in flooded building basements or on construction sites, removing rainwater from sandy or muddy ditches and excavation sites, or getting rid of unwanted water during maintenance of utility manholes.

The pump has a triple seal system (double mechanical shaft seals constructed from silicon carbide with an additional lip seal). Thermal protection gives the motor additional reliability and run-dry capabilities. The pump has only 10 kg.
