Grundfos strengthens its position in Australia

Grundfos today announced that they will acquire long term local Australian partner, B.K.B. Pumps & Tanks Pty Ltd. The deal closure is expected to be finalised by early April 2013. The new business will merge the resources of B.K.B. Pumps and Tanks Pty Ltd with Grundfos’ Australian Commercial Building Services (CBS) team to create a new entity with national reach and industry leading capabilities and resources. The move will further strengthen Grundfos’ position in the Australian commercial buildings market.


KSB: New generation of the world’s best-selling standardised water pump

Actually KSB is launching the latest generation of its Etanorm series, which has been produced non-stop since 1936. The type series of the new generation comprises 43 pump sizes, which can be driven by either 2-pole or 4-pole motors. The selection chart has been extended by additional pump sizes, so that sizes can be selected even closer to the best efficiency point. The Eta type series is the global best-seller among standardised water pumps. Since 1936 more than 1.5 million Eta pumps have been produced worldwide.

Netzsch wins the “Primer concurso de innovación” innovation prize in Spain

At the specialist international agricultural trade fair AGROEXPO 2013 in Spain, Netzsch Pumps & Systems was awarded the “Primer concurso de innovación” innovation prize. This is now the third time in quick succession that the pump manufacturer has been honoured with an innovation prize for its products in other European countries. This time it was the economy version of the NBE 200 barrel emptying system for 200 litre barrels which was able to impress the jurors, who put it in second place among the 23 finalists.


KSB: Pumps for Spanish solar power plant

KSB delivered pumps for a solar thermal power plant located 60 kilometres south-east of Seville in Andalusia. The units in question were seven process pumps for pumping thermal oil at a drive rating of up to 315 kW, and four canned motor pumps with maximum 45 kW. All the units were built in accordance with the standards and specifications of the American Petroleum Institute (API). The pumps perform different tasks in the power plant.
