International Water Summit 2013
The 1st International Water Summit (IWS), hosted by Masdar, opens today in Abu Dhabi with a high-level joint Opening Ceremony and Ministerial Panel which is held jointly with the World Future Energy Summit (WFES) and the International Renewable Energy Conference, as part of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week. Today, a distinguished group of policy makers, entrepreneurs, innovators and visionaries from around the world will gather at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center to create an international think-tank dedicated to sustainable development.
On the 16th and 17th of January, IWS will hold an international Conference with world renowned speakers, workshops, networking receptions and panels. The impressive list of more than 100 speakers will include among others representatives from GWOPA, UN-Water, IDA, ACWUA, SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT, Veolia Water, CH2M HILL, Xylem and Metito. The Conference will provide participants with an opportunity to set priorities and map the way to achieving a sustainable water future for all.
From today until the 17th of January, an international Exhibition will be showcasing cutting-edge technologies and solutions of more than 150 companies from over 20 countries, including names such as Borouge Borealis, CH2M HILL, Xylem, Hyflux, Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority, Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority, Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services Company and Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi, as well as official national pavilions from Germany, Italy, USA, France, Switzerland, Netherlands and Singapore.
The Exhibition will also feature The Project Stream, run in association with Global Water Intelligence, and the Sustainable Solutions Village, presented by Environment Agency Abu Dhabi, the Green Ideas Fair, held by IWS and WFES and other exciting features and events.
