A key component in process chromatography systems is a Quattroflow QF-150 Series Biotech Pump. QF-150 pumps are ideal for this application because they offer unique capabilities to the system and contribute toward an ideal solution for the chromatography purification process. Important fluid-transfer needs are met through the QF-150’s controlled low-pulsation flow for stable process control, low-shear operation for delicate product and media handling, and high turn-up/down capability for scaleability.
With the inauguration of the new Competence Center “Nikkiso Cryo Europe” at Lewa S.R.L. in Milan, Italy, Lewa GmbH and its parent company Nikkiso Co. Ltd. improve the customer proximity and shorten the response cycle for cryogenic submerged motor pumps. At the same time they take the next step on the way to the creation of a stronger internal network.
The competence center complements the production and test sites in Higashimurayama (Japan) and Las Vegas (USA) by bringing together consultancy and sales activities for Nikkiso Cryogenic pumps. The UK office that had previously been responsible for these tasks in Europe was closed down. From now on, Nikkiso Cryo Europe in Italy will take over the responsibilities and deliver various pump parts. Thus, European customers will have local contact persons and they will not be required to handle their requests via Japan or the U.S.
Siemens has decided to reorganize its activities in the water business. The company intends to focus in the future on automation and drive solutions for the control of water applications for municipalities and industry.
The need for hygienic pumps is widespread across industries such as dairy, food, beverage, pharmaceutical, biotech and cosmetics. The range of applications where they are used is diverse and, like other pump requirements, reliability is a major consideration to maximise productivity. Through its Waukesha Cherry-Burrell, APV and Johnson Pump brands, SPX Flow Technology has one of the widest ranges of pumps available in hygienic designs, developed from close partnership with our customers and an intense understanding of the applications in the industries.
